Do anyone have a Creative Industries invoice for a C500 that could be scanned and sent to me? I want to print one out from a scan - (not just a photo of one). Couldn't find any in the registry. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks.

Which invoice are you refering to? The one used to order the car, or the one for shipment to Creative, or one for a shipment from Creative to selling dealership? I have not seen some mentioned but I'm assuming there is/was some paper trail in all of those cases.

The one used to order the car, but I'm keen to see any old paperwork involving creative.

As far as I know the C500's were on the same order forms as any other Chargers for 1969. I'll look to see if I have any good examples around here. I know I have a copy of a shipment form from Creative to a selling dealership.

C500

Damn, I mean the one for shipment to Creative for the conversion work.

Thats what I'm looking for thanks Hergfest  :notworthy: . Do you have a scan of it? I would love to print an actual one out on A4.

A conversion list like the Daytona one would also be a very cool item to print out. Nascar, do you have one saved anywhere.

Thanks guys.

That's awesome  I love looking at old paperwork, photos etc. I wish I had more old papers for my car. I can print the Daytona conversion list from here.

This would lead one to believe the 500's were converted at the Outer Drive location and not the Ten Mile Rd shop where the Daytonas were done.

hergfest

I think I have a scanned copy at my parents place.  Next time I'm over there I'll look.  Another cool thing is the "140 Blue" on the bottom.  I think this means it was the 140th car shipped to Creative.  I also have a quality control punch card and taped to it on a piece of scrap paper is written "140" in crayon.

Gary,
Do you have a broadcast sheet for that car? If so, what is the sequence number in the top left corner?

Could possibly be the 140th car that was earmarked for conversion. I looked through my list of VIN's and going sequentially your car is #92 of of the VIN's for cars that I have seen. I wonder if your car was an ordered car or a sales bank car Gary. The car right before it was one that was ordered, but the order was placed on August 9th 1968 and then it was built, then converted then actually sold by November 11th 1968. Just wondering when your cars papers first went through as it looks like the note to Creative was on October of 1968.

Hey Danny, as far as the 140 blue on his sheet, mine says Green 496. The date on mine is 1-15-69 which is obviously a much later conversion. Is it possible it is the 496th conversion then? Another thing I noticed was a type on the second section on the right where Creative Industries is typed in, mine says Vreative.

Mike, we're hanging in there. Hope you and your family are as well, we'll have to get the 500's together this summer. Mine is also B20 but I did talk to Galen once and he pointed out that it was the scheduled build date not the actual build date. He said that going by the production dates of vins before and after mine he figured it to be sometime around the first week of December.

69Charger500

Well, B20 must have been Charger 500 day at Hamtramck!

I sent this info off to my friends at Chrysler Historical to see what it might mean.

Maybe this is where Galen's 528 or 565 number comes from?  Not sure what it's at now...

Chrysler Historical still recognizes the 392 number, I believe...
