I'm in the middle of trunk replacement on my 69 and will be repainting it here sometime in the next few months.  Before that, the rear window channel will be fixed, a new front windshield will be installed and while I have the glass out a new vinyl top and headliner will go on as well.  So that leads me to the color.  The car is originally B5/White with a blue interior.  I'm restoring a coworkers 68 R/T that's UU1/Black, blue interior like mine.  I was thinking of painting mine B3 (that's what UU1 became in 69 I believe) to match his, but then thought of a Porsche Boxster I had several years ago that always got compliments on the color scheme it was more so than the car itself.  It was a medium silver with a blue interior.  So then the wheels turn.  I'm thinking of a medium BMW silver with a black top, black stripe, and keep the blue interior.  Anyone seen a 68 or 69 in that scheme with the blue interior? If so, post it up.  If not, I will if I decide to paint it that color combo.   I think it'd look sharp with Magnum 500s and redlines too.

We all know every car coming down the line is silver, gray, pewter, charcoal, smoke, whatever you want to call it.  But this is a 69 Charger and no matter the color, it ain't blending in anywhere you park it! :coolgleamA:

Thanks gang,

Cheers

stripedelete

My 69 is an original B7 blue /white top/blue interior/stripe delete.  When I bought it,  it was silver (80's Shelby charger) black stripe, no vinyl top and blue interior.
I don't have any pictures of that combo, but after 26 years, I do remember not being able to lose the blue interior quickly enough.

You know what I'd say... ;)

Maybe stick with the blue on blue. I personally can't stand blue on blue cars, that's my least favourite combo by far, but it would look better than silver on blue IMHO. I see where your coming from on the uniqueness factor though, that would be different and would start a lot of conversations as I don't think a lot of cars were ordered that way!  Lots of different combos for lots of different people! :Twocents:

There was a Charger in one of the mags that was ordered black with blue interior.

This has black interior, but it's A4 Silver Poly with Magnums and Red Lines.  It's that Barret Jackson $110,000 Charger.

I haven't seen it yet, but that's my color scheme. Silver with black vinyl top, black stripe and blue interior. It's the original scheme, except for the stripe.

I have a pic from the web I grabbed, I don't know who's car it is but I'd like to-
