They did it on that street customs show(the west coast customs shop). The car was nice looking except for the rims but they never really showed any of the fabrication. one clip the car is apart and then the next clip its finished.

Is that the one they made for Gary Dourdan from CSI.  There is a post about it on here somewhere as well.

Done it - Friend of mine and I did it using a 2007 SRT8 Magnum and a 1968 Charger....   Close to 900 hours of fabrication - we also did this in his driveway so it could have gone a lot quicker with a lift...          Car is currently running and driving in flat black paint.

I wouldn't do it.  Just personal preference.  It involves ditching too much of the original car.  

IMHO you might as well just make a fiberglass 2nd-gen body kit for the 2009 chassis.

The owner of the car had the responsibility of taking pics - I know he is a stickler for that so he probably has 500 pics of the car's progress

Yeah, lets see pics.  Not MoPar related but there was a 57 Chevy running around Auburn wa.  That had a Licence plate that said 57 Corvette.

I stopped beside it at a light and didnt get it, until i saw the wheels, which were the typical 90's Corvette wheels, i glimpsed the interior and it had Corvettte seats and a Corvette dash, really cool looking.  A few weeks later there was a article on it in Hot Rod or something. 

A guy had totaled his 90"s Corvette and had a 57 Chevy he was restoring, put the engine, interior and rest of the drive train in his Chevy and finished it.

I think it was done at Buffalo restorations in Puyallup.

There was a guy at moparfest last year that did a 68 (i think) with a 08  drivetrain and interior.It looked good.I should have some picture of it some where.
