Nice, clean looking Hemi 4-speed '68 Charger, with lots of photos, on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Real-J-Code-426-HEMI-4-Spd-Rare-AA1-Silver-paint_W0QQitemZ150408722895QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item23050ef9cf. The "Buy it Now" price is $129,500, which seems kind of pricey considering it has a replacement motor and transmission. What do you all think it would have brought on Barrett-Jackson? At least $100,000?  :scratchchin:

Either way it is my ultimate ride.  :popcrn:

Just saw it too.   Definitely nice, but not so sure about 129,500 nice.   Especially without the sheet or drivetrain.

Alot cheaper than this one and it has been restored by Julius and selling by Cali-mopars... They have a pretty good feel for the market. This EE1 '68 Hemi Charger was offered to me straight up for my Daytona not too long ago, finished. Only problem is I gave up an original LL1 '68 Hemi Charger R/T and another C500 for the Daytona. (sarcastically speaking of course, I wanted the Daytona)  :icon_smile_big:

I don't know if the quality of the restorations are equal (not, I'm reasonably sure) but a 4-speed less than an automatic? Nice rigs all.

Hands down a beautiful car. $129k for a non-numbers matching, no docs car is way more than its worth IMO.
$75k maybe.

Since you asked....

Julius is a much better resto. For example, look at the over-the-counter parts store voltage regulator on the silver one versus the correct one on the EE1. Also, notice the heater box attach nuts are painted over on the silver car and not on the EE1. It's a LOT of the little things. Who knows what the underside of the EE1 is like since there aren't any pictures, but I'll go out on a limb and say Julius' EE1 is much nicer. Of course, an original 4-speed goes a LONG way with increasing value. But, to that end, some prefer autos.

Nonetheless, both are awesome pedigrees of the Mopar genetic-code.

DB - Kiss your car and go to church and pray for the luck that was bestowed on you for not getting a rustoration by him!!!

The last 3 I saw had enough dirt in the paint to grow corn! Painted over smashed rad cradle, ran like junk etc. etc.

Really? Ah Oh...... Sounds like you got burnt or know someone..... He did the engine compartment on mine back in '06 or '07 after it came back to the States..............

By the way, I took the Daytona to church Sat.......... I took it there to get exposure to the congregation in hopes to spurring interest in a classic car show. Who knows how many of the guys there have rods. I mean, most times it doesn't come up in conversation unless I'm wearing one of my Mopar Collector Guide cool Dodge Aloha shirts. Well, I did....... As I'm leaving, this gent runs up to me quickly, said he loved my Daytona (of course, I parked right smack-dad in front all by itself). He ran off saying he has a '70 plum crazy Challenger R/T SE 440 six pack 4-speed. Of course, I asked him, "Where have you been?!".  :icon_smile_big:

Introduced myself and hopefully we'll hook up soon...

DB. ( of course, I didn't introduce myself as DB ).

V-Code Chall - awesome!

He did a few cars for John Hadjis - A big collector up to a year or so ago....Sold all his cars and vast parts. Tim W. has John's NOS parts adorning his parts department we saw in Alex City.

Kiss your car anyway.
