I bought something on ebay,and it is 2 weeks late getting hear and I was wondering if I should file an item not received with ebay.I checked his feedback and have no reason to believe he ripped me off and I heard the post office did some layoffs so I don't want to do that if it is not his fault.What do you guys think?

I have just gotten a reply and apparently there was a problem with the label so it was sent back to him and he is remailing it.

Keep copies of everything just in case, and your right to be concerned noting pisses me off faster than thinking something should be here any day and finding out it has not even left!

Just make sure you start paypal claim before it's too late. I've been screwed before and it's important to file before deadline.

I've bought hundreds of items off of ebay and out of all of them I've had 2 "incidents" that I had to take care of.

One I bought a steering column that came with the steering wheel and was supposed to come with the center horn button that was in really good shape. He even mentioned in the ad that it was in good condition. When I got it, the steering wheel was not on there. I emailed him and he said he was sorry and would send it right out. I even mentioned the horn button. When I got it, it was only the steering wheel. I filed a $60 claim with Paypal and won.

Second was a console shifter for an automatic. I paid for it with a money order because thats the way he wanted it and then never got the parts. I emailed him a number of times and never got a response. Finally after almost 2 months I emailed him and threatened to contact his states attorney general about it and file a complaint for internet fraud against him. He emailed me within the hour asking why I would do that when it was only a $25 sale. He then said it was on the way. I got it a couple days later.

I had an issue with SS performance...seems they sell things "buy it now" take your money then order it, so you wait and wait then after a week or 2 they finally answer you that your dimmer switch will be shipped the moment they get it. So 22 days after you buy it now you get what is one of the most common parts for any old car in the USA. The other was on my new upper control arms, again "buy it now" only this time they claim they had it but due to end of year inventory they shipped it out weeks later, I'll give anyone plenty of time to ship, but neither company said anything at all to me, I had to ask....that's just rude. No other venue has this happened to me and on eBay individuals have been great to deal with as many small company's also have. 2 out of 50 uninformed of delays is pretty good. (maybe I should quit while I'm ahead!)
