68 door jamb switch- is this the right one?

I got one just like the one in the link and it's longer than the one in the passenger jamb. My threads are kind of gunked I guess because I coudn't get it to thread in. I'll try to clean them up with a tap.

I actually bought two of these, one from autozone and one from carquest. The autozone switch is even longer than the one pictured from year one.

Wrong switch?

So you may want to post up the pic or part number specifically...

Well, I cleaned the threads and put in the switch and it is too long. Won't let the door shut :brickwall: I pulled off the switch for the hood light and it's a different size thread. Did Chargers even come with an underhood light?  Maybe it's an old alarm sensor.

Any thoughts?
