hello everyone, i just stumbled upon this site. I just bought my first charger last week, it is a 72 with a really strait body and 400. Needs some minor mechanical work and the paint could use alittle help, but it's not bad. I do need a good dash pad, so if anyone has one for sale, for a reasonable price, get ahold of me. I won't be able to do alot of work on it until may though, as i am still a senior in high school.

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Welcome to the site. :punkrocka:
Good dashpads are hard to find. You might be better off getting a dashcap for now.

thanks everyone, i'll have to borrow my buddys camera sometime this week too get pics...it is right now gloss black, although very dirty from sitting and the clear coat is beginning to come off, still looks farily decent. It is just now beginning to show rust above teh rear left tire. The trunk is solid. 14" American Racing rims, i'm not sure what style yet but i'll figure it out. 150,000 miles on the body, but the engine was rebuilt at about 100,000 and teh tranny was rebuilt before it was parked by last owner. After i pay it off, i'm gonna pull the engine and have everything painted either hemi orange w/black super-bee stripe or back to black, and i'll be putting my 413 in it which has a .510 lift comps cam camshaft, edelbrock intake and carb, and hooker competition headers, and the tranny will have a 2000 stall B&M converter along with a shift kit and heavy duty clutches (this is until i can afford a keisler 5 speed) It has custom seat covers and very dark tinted windows. Like i say, i'll try to get pics by the end of this week. Did i get a good deal for $2000?

Always glad to see others that are under 30 interseted in these cars. I think on this board we are a pretty decent size crowd, however in the overall view of things we are definately the minority.

:drive:   Hey man, welcome to the site.
My first Charger was a '72 with a 400.  The best motor to stroke if that's something you're interested in.

I need to learn more about this Kansas Mafia Contingency.   Are they listed in the National Registry, if so, I'm prolly grandfathered?. :yesnod:
We're moving back now as possibly as soon as this summer, except we're straying down towards the Lone Star state.
