I've read many posts on rim and tire sizes, backspacing... I'm not sure what rim width I have. Measures about 7" at the outside. Does that make it a 7" rim? Or is the rim size measured from the inside of the rim? I'm trying to determine the largest size tire I can put on these rims. Can I put 235/60 on them?
Thanks.

The rim is measured from the inside. The lip of the rim takes up about half an inch on each side so a 7" rim will measure 8" lip to lip. Go to Tirerack.com and you can research tire sizes and wheel recommendations.

Isn't the size stamped on the rim somewhere?

Sounds like I have a 6" rim then. Makes sense with the 205/75 tires on it. Thanks for the help.
