An AirRaid setup.. VERY nice system..

I got it with 5k miles on it from a local guy (Craigslist). New they are $350. I got this for $125, complete (or so I thought)..

I took my factory intake apart, took the tray off, and started to bolt in the new kit.. Got it all together, and looked around for the black Urethane "bump hose", and it's not there...

Part #6, above...

I called the guy "Could you look around for me? It appears the Urethane hose section is missing, and I can't set it up with out it". He says "Oh, you got everything I needed for this to work on my truck, sorry!".

Bull shit, asshole..

So I called AirRaid and they are sending me out the hose, two clamps and shipped for $12.. Only problem is it's 4 days away, so I'm going to be doing this all over again this weekend....

:brickwall: :brickwall:

So yeah, I'm still ahead of the game $$ wise.. But I really wish people would know what they were selling and that ALL PARTS were in a kit...  :slap:

That's not as bad as what I almost got myself into.

A guy was selling a 2005 Harley Davidson sportster 1200 custom in Detroit

I get there and fall in love with it, and almost give him a downpayment but decide to see what hdforums.com thinks of it.

I checked the vin and sure enough it is a 2005 Sportster 1200 Custom.

But when I put pics on hdforums.com they quickly point out the wheel, headlight, and speedometer (where the odometer is) are from a 883 sportster. This means the 8,000 miles that is stated on the web is nowhere close to what the actual miles of the bike would be. Then upon further inspection the motor itself was a 883. Goes to show just how far people go to screw you.

Thanks for the post .

I keep forgetting to order a cleaning kit for mine that is about 9 years old.

:2thumbs:

Sorry to hear your having problems again.

Eh, live and learn.. Just when I think another "awesome deal" has popped up...  I also learned, when cleaning the filter, that the large clamp holding the filter to the housing was missing

But it's still a good deal.. At $125 + about $12 for missing parts, I'm still way ahead of the game..
