amc 727 ?

is there any difference in an amc 727 and a mopar 727? and is it worth $500 rebuilt? thanks.

Internally I believe they are the same but I don't think the TorqueCommand will bolt up to a Chrysler V8 big or small.  So yes, it's worth the money if you have an AMC to put it onto.

The AMC bellhousing bolt pattern is different so both the 727 and 904 AMC cases are different.

The AMC converter is the same but has no starter ring gear installed since the AMC flexplate has its own ring gear.
