o.k. stupid question, the POS looks the same, why cover it?

Thought the same thing.  Probably publicity.   In fact they are probably just driving it back in fourth in front of the car and driver office.

I have driven a few higher end recent Chargers. They are comfortable cars and pretty damn fast. They are not the old styling, but so what? It is a tool that will no doubt end up in a junkyard in 15 years anyway. Buy it, enjoy it, move on. Want an old one? Buy one. You get one cheaper than a new one.

not around this part of the country you dont, old ones depending on what you get are 2 to 3 times what a new is.

Maybe 4 years ago, but old Chargers have come down quite a bit in recent times. 2010 model year cars MSRP start at $24,390 and max out at $38,180. You can buy a 1969 318 car driving for way less than $24K (like half of that). With some shopping I would bet you could find a decent R/T for under $38K. Not much under, but less anyway.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Yeah, hey, never noticed that hood before.

I'll say something positive, too.

I like that one (just that one) aspect of the hood - the faux turn signal indents.

While presumably non-functional, at least it recognizes one old second-gen Charger tradition and spruces up an otherwise bland body panel.

Khyron

wonder is each door has one too :chuckle:

Boring  :brickwall: I´m so pissed off that they didn´t even try to do REAL new Charger, they did four door sedan and called that CHARGER  :RantExplode:

To me, there is NO new Charger exist, there is only Chrysler 300 what is called Charger  :RantExplode:

New Challenger and Mustang are pretty nice cars, but I wouldn´t trade my real ´69 Charger to anything in this world  :2thumbs:

Looks like they taped the headlights on.

Its still a coronet to me.

WHITE AND RED 69

I thought all the new dodges stopped using the ram logo now that ram is its own brand.

Crap, we have to sit through six more years of the same design?

The Charger was dodge's flagship vehicle. Not anymore...

They need to redesign it to be so cool with so much character that you form an instant connection with anyone else driving one. Like the old ones. So much that you have to talk to each other at gas stations if you see someone else there that was driving one.

Looks awesome.  It looks like they're doing some copycat lines from the Mustang.  The overall shape is the same as before, just exaggerated more.

I'm anxious to see the rest of it.  Hopefully it continues to help keep Ma' Mopar afloat.

Akron_Charger

front end looks mean!  :2thumbs: lets see the whole car before we bash it completely! however I dont really like the lines on the rear side windows....(from the spy shots)
