$45,000 including destination but not the guzzler tax.

That should kill this car in sales...Say goodbuy to the ugly duckling.  :2thumbs:

$45,000 for 550 horsepower is a bad deal?  You'll pay $40,000 for an SRT8 right now.

You're nuts. :shruggy:

I don't think he'd pay anything for it. Most of these blowhard haters wouldn't buy a new car anyway.

Just because someone can't or won't buy one shouldn't preclude them from voicing an opinion on it. You'll most likely never marry Beyoncé or even get lucky enough to leverage a "test drive" but you're still free to comment about her like you often have. That said, I consider the new "Charger" to be the Taylor Swift of the automotive world. :nana:

Ponch, I bet I have bought more new American car than you'll ever will.  I have bought two new ones in just the last 3 years alone.  What have you done for our American Economy lately. :slap:

Two?? I've had 8 in the last four years!! And every car I've owned have been American. But that doesn't mean they were completely built or assembled here... Or that the money stayed here.....

I'm not sure if I qualify as a blowhard hater or a regular one but I do land on the side of people who aren't all that crazy about it and we definitely keep cars in the driveway that are new.  My little bride has a thing about cars under warranty.

MRHWS

We will probably never see a 2 door Charger again and the Challenger is just too small (for me anyway). So I will probably just keep my 2008 like a alot of people did with their 66s and 68s and 71s. 2 door, 4 door, who cares? At least it doesn't say Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, Lexus, Infinity, Suzuki, Volkswagon, Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, etc, etc, etc.

Well, 3 were new. The rest were used. And all American. All I've ever owned are gm, ford and dodge.

Black Charger

The grille of that Charger would look so much better without the crosshairs. I also think the doors would look better if they had scallops to match the hood. The rear end looks fantastic. I am curious to see what the redesigned Charger looks like when it finally hits the streets.

Too small? Seriously? That is a big friggin' car, at least on the outside.

And it's a two door charger, I mean magnum, I mean 300...

Sabre

The only two things I don't like about the new Charger are the two extra doors and the grill.  Dodge needs to retire the grill.

"At least it doesn't say Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, Lexus, Infinity, Suzuki, Volkswagon, Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, etc, etc, etc. "

I'll second that.

Like some have said, a 2 door charger may never happen again.  But it doesn't hurt to dream or to ask/tell dodge that some of us would like one.  If you never say anything, people assume you like everything they do/say/manufacture.

The only way to change something is to let people know you want something different.

If Dodge really wanted to, they could make this happen.  Also, and I'm not claiming credit in any way, but I read today that the "R/T" is now the top of the line model charger.  I actually suggested that several times to Dodge over the last few years.  I doubt it was my input that did it, but appearanlty Dodge liked that idea too.  (actualy there is the R/T and then the R/T "Road & Track" version, which is silly because R/T stands for Road & Track.......)  The "Road & Track package, according to allpar, features a "unique grile".  Retro perhaps, blacked out perhaps.

Anyway, peoples input, aka endless whiner blowhards, can make a difference.  (even if they tick you off in the process)
