How do MT Sportsman S/T match up against...

Ordering new tires next week.  Looking at the Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T's.  How do they match up against BF Goodrich Radial TA's, Firestone Indy 500's and the Goodyears?  Will be using them mainly for street....maybe a couple passes down the strip once during next season.  Leading to question #2  Who runs Mickey's drag radials all season rain or shine, city/highway?  How do they really handle in the real world?  Such as long trips and hard cornering.
No, it ain't a Hemi.....thank God!

I don't like the drag radials for personal reasons, but I would think that drag tires aren't the best to run in the rain as that's why they don't recommend it.....However, I HAVE driven in the rain on the Super Sticky Hoosiers and they did "ok"...

I like the Hoosier Quick time pro's..I had M&H's on the Dart and while they were "ok", they were nothing compared to the grip of the new Hoosiers...

S/T isn't a drag tire so it won't have any of the problems that come with a typical d.o.t. drag tire. I do believe the M/T S/T is a copy of the equivilent Cooper Cobra. This means it is likely an S or T speed rating which mean sit will last a while with moderate traction. Feedback I've heard from others is that the Coopers are a much better tire than BFG and at least as good as a Firestone or Goodyear.

The M/T S/R on the other hand, is one of the few 15" tires with an H speed rating, so they are much softer and will have enhanced grip over the S/T but probably won't last as long. The larger tread blocks also won't exhibit as much squirm at the limits of traction either.

Thanks,
I've had good luck with Coopers on other vehicles.  Was just wondering if the S/T's were getting much better of a review.  Was not able to find much in the way of reviews on them.  I have the BF's on now.  They're are old and done now but were no good even when full of tread and new.

I have M/T Sportsmans on the Coronet.  HMMM 20 x 10 x 15 i think.  We live in the Seattle area. I was wondering how it would do on wet pavement.  I havent had any issues with them in the rain, and i drive it everyday.

I had to replace the front ones, belt seperation and it had a slow leak in one of the front tires.

Got a pic of them on the car?  Would love to see how they look on a Mopar.   Cant beat BFG's for looks in a RWL tire though
