Quick question for Blade fans

Having never seen any of the trilogy other than little bits, how much screen time does the Charger really get?

THE STIG

I've only seen the first. The car gets some decent screen time and there's even a chase seen but it's very poorly done, they just sped up the film and added some tire screeching sound effects.

Daytona R/T SE

Check out the poorly made and short lived "Blade" TV show.

The show pretty much sucked (Vampire pun intended) But it did have the Charger and that chic from the Mercury commercials in it.  :drool5:

Blade II is the one to see if you want lots of Charger footage. It's in the others but not as much.

It gets blown up in the third one. I forget if they show it but the building its in goes boom.

I only ask because as I said, I've seen a little bit from all three parts and none of it impressed me.  I'm not much of a Wesley Snipes fan so there isn't a great chance of me giving the film much attention but if the Charger is in there a lot and I see it for sale, I'd pick it up and try my best to watch it.

I think Wal-Fart had the trilogy on one disk for $9.99.

Yeah, I wouldn't go buying or renting the movies just for the Charger.  They're not terrible flicks but the car's screen time is not that significant.  It's just kinda like one more accessory for Blade's cool image.

I like it when Nick bitches out the young guy for over doing mods to the engine...now the damn thing won't last as long! (or something like that)  My boys got them all, they are fun movies.

Martial Arts, Swords, Vampires and a Charger... what's not to like about Blade? :coolgleamA:

This Charger right here is a one of none, that means none before it, none to come.

I agree. The blade trilogy is probably some of the best cheesy martial arts movies that have been made in awhile.

.

Actually there is more on screen time in Blade Trinity (not to mention actual action) than there is in Blade I and II combind :icon_smile_big:.

I think you will be real disappointed in all three if you were buying/renting them just for the Charger. I got a copy of the Trilogy in December and it came with the pilot episode for the TV series too for just $7.99 (Target). The Charger never does anything but cruise around or be in the background of scenes for the most part. The Charger does have a few chase scenes, in Blade I(not worth watching), Blade III(Should watch :yesnod:) and one in the series.

Here is all you really need to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMI3aIBdIgU

And this is the only action scene I remember with the Charger from the series (still not all that amazing): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZx8ZCBa27c

Take a look at the rims from 0:03 to 0:06 They are not the American Racing Outlaw I's but in the next scene the AR  Outlaw I's are back on the car :D.

I think the cops impounded the Charger when they raid his base because Blade is cruising around in Detroit (really Vancouver) after the credits are over in Blade Trinity.

THE STIG

The summer the first movie came out I was at Ozzfest here in Indianapolis and the car was on display. There was an online contest and someone could in the car. So I wonder if the car was "given away" how did they get it back for the sequels?

There was more than one car. I think there were at least 3 in the last movie.

Well for one thing, I have seen each movie of the Blade dvds. Here you all are complaining about the movie not having enough of the car. I think they call the movie Blade for a reason and that is it's not base about or around the charger at all but rather at well you know Blade  :smilielol:. Hench the name of the films, and why they are not called a Charger. The films is about a vampire that is not like the others and is hunting the others down trying to do good and help the good folks out. But his ride just so happens to be a '68 charger is all. You all just have to accept that the dilm isn't about the charger but about Blade though. If it was about the car then we would be seeing more of it and less of Blade, but with the title being what it is is why we see less of the charger and more of Blade

Ghoste

Yeah but here in Charger world it is our right and obligation to judge all things for their Charger worthiness.  Our views are right and final.
Therefore, Blade is bad but the Charger is good.  (Jessica's curves are Chargerish or perhaps Charger curves are starlet-like.  In either version that gives Jessica a big pass) :D

didn't the member of this site who owned two of the blade cars sell them off and leave here last yr?..
wow, that was four years ago now.. 2006!

There was a guy on here who went by Bladetrinity. He claimed to have the hero car, and eventually had it it up for sale. Something like $8500.00 is what he wanted for it.
For what its worth he told me the paint was DP 90 primer sealer.
