But they want a lot of money for it.  It looks pretty rad, though.  http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/ctd/1540767888.html  Or you can check out my 71 hemi at http://www.marlia.com/charger/index.html.  Kim

Very cool. Someone with a much fatter wallet than most of us will end up with that car. I wonder why the museum gave it back? Maybe it was on a contractual loan? :shruggy:

BTW, not to nitpick but why'd you put this in the off topic section?

Saw that a couple days ago on craigslist. Looks cool, i think they missed the boat on that asking price though. Maybe not.

If you mean the Peterson Museum, yes it was on loan there and the collector who owned it sold it last September for about half of what this flipper wants.  IIRC there is some dispute about the legitimacy of the pedigree being alluded to here.

Cause Mopar was cheap, cheap, cheap and the valve cover was big, big, big. So, for a car with a hemi and a 727, they took the top of one and the bottom of another and riveted them together.  When John Kunkel first saw my car that was one of the first things he checked and taught me. Kim.

Ok - I was thinking of engine dip-stick which threw me for a loop.    :eek2:

The transmission dipstick on a Hemi is as you have shown - most years.

The reason is -  It is not longer for a Hemi but shorter. The cut a hunk out of another existing stick for the Hemi.
