Hood alignment?

How do you adjust the hood from left to right on a 69 Charger? the gap is too close on the driver's side?

I'll probably catch hell about this from other members but..........

I just put a new AMD hood on my 69 due to a "fly-up". After I got the hood square to how it sits mine was to close to one side also. With the hood up I literally pushed it, gently, a couple times and closed it each time to check the fit and it worked for me.
There has to be a way to make this adjustment correctly - anybody?
