I have a pretty decent weekend planned and I thought I'd share my schedule with you folks.

Tonight, well in about 15mins I will head downtown Toronto to meet 4 of my long time pals and we will check into our hotel room.  Cocktails and bullshit  :icon_bs:    :blahblah: for 2 hours then off for a steak dinner.   :drool5:  My Brother-in-Law plays in a rock band   :musik010: and they are recording at the studio tonight so we have been invited to sit in on some sessions after dinner.  We'll bring a case   and a bottle to enjoy while we watch them jam.  Then we will find a spot to spend the rest of the evening and enjoy a few more  .  Should be a great time.  We usually do this every couple of months.

Saturday during the day, spend some time nursing the hangover   and playing with my Daughter  :boogie: .  Look forward to nap time at 1:00 PM  .   :icon_smile_big:  Saturday night, old friend is having the annual Christmas party.  No doubt we will enjoy ourselves then.

Sunday, spend the day hangin' around the house and putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it  :cussing: .  I am sure that will be interesting with the almost 2 year old getting into everything  :nono: .  She'll be thrilled  :boogie:  when she sees her Mother bought her some Dora the Explorer tree ornaments!   :lolexplode:

As much as I enjoy working on my car, it sure is nice to take a break.  The same goes for Parents and In-Laws, love 'em all dearly, but sure is nice having a weekend to ourselves.

So, what are your plans?

Sounds like you'll be having fun for sure. :punkrocka:

I'll probably shovel all the white crap off my driveway, then finish drywalling the downstairs room I've been putting off for a while...then go see a movie with my younger son.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Tonight (Friday) they close off the streets in Historic Downtown Grass Valley and have a Christmas Street Fair. It's every Friday night until Christmas. The street is 3 blocks long and they have Kettle Corn, Carol singers, Mandolin players, violin players, hot mulled cider, carmel apples, hot fresh bread, live bands, vendors selling their goods, Christmas Crafts, the bars all have live bands, they have clog dancers, Horse carriage rides...it's a blast. I usually see about 100 or so friends and have some spiked cider. it's a blast.

Tomorrow night (Saturday) they have and actual Christmas Fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. They set up a Christmas forest, Santa comes with his elves, they have trees for sale, and al the Christmas foods and drink you could imagine, open stage for performances, crafts, etc... My daughter is excited to go, so I'm excited to take her.

Sunday is church in the morning and then off to the Christmas tree farm after to pick out a tree. We have to wait to put ours up in this neck of the woods because in order for the trees to go dormant BEFORE you cut them it has to be at or below 40 degrees for at least 3 days.

So, my weekend is a CHRISTMAS weekend...but thankfully, no shopping...
Life is a highway...

Went to the opera on Sunday. It sure seemed like a drastic difference from the Nine Inch Nails show last month.   :o
