Hi

To get a head rest attachment for 68 Charger front bucket seats... how hard is it to do this? (the 69 style with 2 chrome pins)

I mean, is it basically drill 2 holes and attach it to something inside or would I need an entire 69 style back rest that comes with that internal bar or whatever it is that the head rest goes on...

Can that bar be added to the 68 seats if its something along those lines and is it hard to do/expensive or fairly simple and cheap....

Gonna need a head rest for what I wanna do...  :D

I believe Mike over at B/E&A sells the complete kit: bezels, seat internals, etc, as well as the headrests. You might have to remove the seat cover, at the very least the seat backing. Looks like a bolt-in operation.

You could get head rests in 68 as an option (my R/T has them).

WOW!

I was in that resto shop awhile ago and asked if I could get a rear shoulder belt added to the 3 rear lap belts and have another female end for it to plug into (same as front buckets) they said no and no and no and when i asked i was pretty much told 'u dont get it, cant be done'

And now I see exactly what I had in mind... never knew it existed but I knew I had a thought of a belt comming up from inside the trunk through the pannel behind rear window and that belt from there you would plug into female socket in centre and then the lap belt on same seat would come over and plug into 2nd female as its done in the front...

Thanks heaps for that.

So basically I dont need to buy new seats to get head rests in... I just need to buy the mounting hardware and the head rests themselves... take the vinyl off the seat and conect everything to the already existing bar or something inside the seat and then drill 2 holes in the vinyl for the metal to go through... Right?

You can also buy the same parts from PG Classics and use your credit card.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
