:drool5: my son quintin worked a deal with a guy from the chicago area .  He trades an 89 white turbo daytona Non runner for a nice driver running driving 89 shelby turbo daytona.
This will be his daily driver he has to supply some parts and cash with the deal.  We started out at 5 am saturday morning and met the guy 1/2 way . We drove from kansas city ,he drove from northern Ill.  We met up in st peters missouri just out side st luis at the mid rivers mall parking lot to do the trade.

Quintins white car has a ton of performance parts and high dollar mods on it and should take long to get up and running . He also included cash and a ton of parts with the dealso I really hope the gentleman who bought it is happy also .

Wheeler-dealer Quintin. He must be practicing his trading skills for the next time he meets up with Lee. Maybe Lee will take a blue Daytona for his yellow car?

Nice car. :2thumbs:

we got back safe and at home by 2:30 pm and I was really glad all worked out well.
Quintin is only 17 and I let him work this deal all him self and i was kind of nervous about everything going down smoothly .
As i said before I have heard all the night mare stories about bad deals and i know we were taking a risk but he had told the guy exactly what he was getting and the guy did the same for him .

It was really great and there where no hitches what so ever .

Glad all went well. I met Quintin and you here in Minneapolis. Doesn't surprise me the deal went well. He's a great kid with a good head on his shoulders.

:drool5:  the gas and my time is part of quintins christmas gift this year , so i figure I would let him sink or swin this whole deal on his own .  i firgured it would be a great learning experience for him ,and a great life lesson.  Every thing went great and he knew what he was doing .  He has several FWD turbo mopar and none of them run on a daily bases ,so as of late he has been trying to sell and trade  them away for runners .

^you betcha I am  :2thumbs:
Car runs awesome. It cleans up nicely aswell. Plus you can't beat 30 mpg.
The white car was a 12 second monster. This car is a good 14 sec cruiser and thats all I really need.
Its a great car and I am really glad I worked out the deal.
Took over a month and a half of bargaining back and forth. Gotta love how car deals work out.
Been scrambling the last 3 weeks to get my end of the deal squared up and events fell like they should and now I own the car.
Thanks guys for your nice comments.
Lov'in the car and only had a day and a half now  :yesnod:

Nice looking car there. Look forward to seeing it on the cruise this year.

here is the 66 charger , he has no money to work on

When I switch the car over to synthetic I will get a different filter on it lmao.
The point of posting the engine pic was to show the amount of detail the engine got when it was put back together lmao!

There is an 84 Shelby Turbo Z for sale here for $400, doesn't run.  :shruggy:  I thought about buying it but things aren't good at work right now. But I do love the 92 aqua Daytona we got Shelby. It runs great.  :2thumbs:

Great looking car, glad the deal went OK. Got an 88 Le Baron convert. 4-banger, not a 446,  but 30-32 m.p.g. with the top down just a fun little cruiser. :2thumbs:

66chargerkid

Thanks guys. These turbo cars are definitely fun.
A little tweaking and they are bad ass sleepers. However I will refrain from majorly tweaking the car but little personal touches won't hurt.
