Ok, Leaning towards just building a STRONG 440 motor for my new 1969 B Body that now has basically a stock 1970 440 engine with slightly hotter cam.

No doubt if I don't stroke my current 440 engine and stick with stock 440 displacement that I will be going with Edelbrock RPM Performer Alum. Heads as they are a great piece, especially for the $.

My research shows that if I swap out the Eddy RPM Performer heads out for my stock heads and don't touch the bottem end of  my motor (that was fresly built 300 miles ago) that my compression ratio should come in right around 10:3 to 1.

Kindly confirm that my research is accurate. Thanks in advance for your help this forum Rocks!

It really depends on the piston to deck height. If the pistons are at zero deck and you use a .040 composite head gasket it will be in the 10.4-10.5 range. Perfect for pump gas !!!!

You definately want the 84cc closed chamber heads for tight quench and detonation resistance.  ;)

You'll have to see how far the pistons are below the deck. I'm guessing it would actually measure 9.5-1 with the 84 cc heads.
