I have and old version of it and if I change my just my stall to 1950 from 3000 my ET drop less than a .1 and the mph goes DOWN. You go by MPH when tuning correct? This is using 9 inch slicks and telling it there is no slip. If I use the low stall figure with street tires it says I need a higher stall and no error if I use the 3K. From what I have been told the car needs the higher stall and that makes sense but this software is confusing me. There isn't much difference in RPM at the end just a few hundred, plus its a bootleg so I don't have a manual.

:shruggy:  My personal experience with those type of porgrams is that they are a fun toy but not a lot else.  I wouldn't go so far as to say they are no more than a video game but I haven't found them to translate well to real life.
But I have only had bootlegs too.

Well said Ghoste...Just like that Desk top Dyno crap....Gives you all kinds of stuff for say a "Big Chief" Pontiac/Chevy motor, but NOthing for a Mopar...

Plus, you can type in anything you want to and get a "Dyno sheet" on your car....We had one come to cruise night with one of these "Dyno sheets" taped to his windshield..

It was almost dead nuts on the black pig. Oh well, it is fun to mess with and still better than what my guess is.

I did the Desktop Dyno for the motor I built for the Daytona.... I input all the specs from the build..then had it on a Dyno a few years back.....was within 13hp of the readings on the program.

I'm not saying it's a great program....there are flaws....but so far it's worked for me

LOL, cruise night racers.  We didn't have anything like that but one night a buddy and I were discussing when would be a good time for us both to get to the dragstrip again and a guy overheard us.  He remarked that he didn't know why we wasted our time going to the strip and spending all that effort and money because he had a computer program (don't know which one) that told him exactly what his car would run in the 1/4 mile.  My buddy told that him that no matter what the computer said the car should run, the car has a funny way of deciding for itself what it actually will run.

I agree with that.  It was my personal experience where I didn't find it too practical but I didn't mean to imply that everyone would find it bad.  And it is still fun to mess with.

AMEN......On a perfect day, with perfect air, perfect hook, perfect carb adjustments, perfect reaction time, perfect tune up.....Nothing's Perfect....

But I do think there are things you can learn from them.  I"m just not one to look for literal results.  I'm impressed with those of you who have had those kind of results.
