Kinda weird but I have noticed some 70 Chargers (including mine) have a Hemi Alternator strap used as a bracket towards the front of both fenders. I compared the fender bracket to an original Hemi Alt. bkt and they are dead nuts the same.
Anyone else?

Been a long while since the tear-down and my body man has all the pics - can't find any on my PC. They were up near the front and may have (can't 100% remember) been attached to the latch tray maybe, sorta. At the time I asked a couple of other 70 Charger owners about it and they have seen them as well. I did confirm that not all cars got this style of bracket. My car was an early car (Sept.) so this may come into play as well.

Mine is early too! I'll go look around.  :scratchchin:

You mean the braces that run on an angle from the front fender section to the front bumper assembly? All 70s got them however if I recall there were indeed two versions (early build / late build).

YUP! They run forward right above and between the headlights and are mostly covered by the lip of the fender. If I put my hand on it and run it back I can feel the long slot and there is a "jog" on the end at the bumper for no reason.

If they look like a Hemi Alt. Bkt then ....    Yes!   :icon_smile_big:
