I seem to recall something about the MP drag cars that Plymouth did and that the wings were weighted in order to place ballast over the rear axle.  Does anyone know if these were modified from NASCAR style wings or regular production ones?  What did they use to weight them down?

I remember the engine being set back a bit, extra-thick back glass and ballast in the taillight area, but don't remember anything about the wing.  Could be wrong though.

Was that the Sox & Martin car, or Jack Werst's (sp) Mr. 5 & 50 'Bird they did that for - or both?

For some reason I think it was Werst's car but my recollections of them are really hazy.

Hemi Fred Ristagno lives in our town .He was Jack Wersts crew chief back in the day. On a unrelated to wing subject. He told me things that the speaker deck was a 1/4 plate of steel just to name a few things. On the Jack Werst Ken Jennings Phoenix superbird. But I dont recall things changed on the wing.Things I remember was tail lights being heavy one front wheel slightly ahead of the other .Motor set back
