Aftermarket I'm assuming you mean.... I know of no known OEM configuation like that.......

Very cool Eric... There's something about a bench seat and a 4-speed that's comfortable. I've always felt the bench was better.. Maybe it gives me better lumbar support...........

And I know of no auto on floor with bench seat from the factory

First Gens did not have a bench seat either...only in 67 did they have the "buddy" seat in the middle...all 66's had a console

Nope...console and buddy seat was optional ......standard was 2 bucket seats with nothing in-between

Nope...console and buddy seat was optional ......standard was 2 bucket seats with nothing in-between

yea...I'm thinking it is....I have seen only 3 that did not have console or buddy seat....when they put the automatic on the column for '67....guess they figured they could get a few more $$$ by charging extra for either a console or buddy seat...

And, in 67, you could not get a clock unless you paid extra for the console also....

A front bench seat became the base model setup for Chargers beginning in 1970. 

Chargers 1969-down did not have a bench option in any form.

It has always worked fine. If I was shorter (I'm 5'8") then the shifter would have interfered with the last inch or so of forward movement to the bench seat. At the moment the car is in a long term suspension/steering/brake rebuild. Doing the work as I am financially and physically able.

 Actually in '70 a bench seat was standard issue and bucket seats became optional.Sorry,I didn't realize this had already been posted. John.

alright cool...i'm 6'3" but i like to sit close...so i should be fine...sweet....hey well good luck on your resto...i hear you on the having to do the work slowly...it'll be there someday!
