Do you know why rear window defrosters were standard equipment?

So your hands stay warm while pushing them.  :slap:

Interestingly, in a car where "carpet" is listed as a standard feature, the Yugo has a rear-window defroster — reportedly to keep your hands warm while you push it."

I am surprised  by that.  I thought it would have been more.  I remember when I was in middle school a local Ford Yugo dealer had them "Buy One, Get One Free".  For $2995.00 you were able to buy two of those little gems.  I remember thinking back then, doesn't that just mean you will have two repair bills?

I remember car dealers giving a yugo with each new car purchase. A friend who sold corvettes said most buyers refused the Yugo.

You never new in which gear you were; changing gears was like mixing bricks with a stick; if you go off-road a little bit you were not sure whether you will be able to close the door...I really don't know what the heck they thought when they decide to sell this c**p in the US.  :shruggy:
