Finally, finally, finally!  :faint:

After what seemed like an eternity, just got the word that my new seats are done. What an ordeal this turned out to be. The first guy botched up the job so bad, left me no alternative but to find someone that really could do them right. I'm very pleased the way they turned out now.
I'll be picking them up this afternoon, looks like I'll be spending some fun time in the garage tonite bolting them in. Can't wait!
Here are some pics of the seats.

wow  , look awesome :coolgleamA: :2thumbs: :drool5: looking forward to seeing pictures in the car  :2thumbs:
got a pair of  recaro seats , same shape as those seats  in the attic of parents house , been wanting to get recovered  in the same pattern as charger seats for years , might just get them done now  :yesnod: :yesnod:

I couldn't wait to get these in.
I am SO ready to try them out. They sure are comfy. Lots of support vs the original seats, that's for sure.
The upholsterer even mimicked the stock pattern on the back of the seats also!

You're not kiddin', Clayton.       They were a joke.
I got the tracks sitting real nice now. Chopped an inch out of them to bring them down a bit.
So, are you leaving yours alone now?  :scratchchin:   :icon_smile_big:

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Very nice Bill.  They look just like the stock ones only with the bigger headrest and bolsters on the sides of the seats!  Best of luck with them.

Seeing those seats definitely has me thinking about it. It does tie the whole package together having them match. I'm trying to save up for a gear vendors overdrive unit right now, maybe after that?  :scratchchin:

I really like the way they did the back of the seats. The white just looks so clean and classy.  :2thumbs:

Hooray! After all you've gone through to get done it looks incrediBILL!   :yesnod:  Is it comfy to drive/ride now? How far do they tilt forward for rear seat access?  :scratchchin:

Unfortunately, no.  :icon_smile_dissapprove:
By the time I got them in & then finished up with fatherly duties, it got a little late. And now, today they decided to dig up my street & repave it so it looks like a battlefield.  :flame:  So, the drive will have to wait another day.
But, I did sit in it & make "vroom, vroom" sounds!

Neal, yes they tilt forward and back for easy rear seat access.  :yesnod:

RIDELIKEHELL

Those are very very very nice Bill! I need to get something like that in my 68 but like those a style that is like the original. Dantes has some new ones that incorporate the pleats etc but give the side support needed to keep you in the seat. I definitely need them for next year as my driving is getting more aggressive as I get used to the car

I was finally able to get the car out for some drive time, happy to report they are quite an improvement over the stock seats for support. Really nice & comfy, firm, definitely not sliding around anymore!
Took a few more pics from my driveway.
