where did you get the steering wheel from bill. i like that one.
btw, looking good

luke

Luke, the wheel is a Grant Elite GT 742. Anyone that carries Grant wheels should offer this one.
Here it is from Summit:

Pretty sure I got a deal on the wheel from a private seller on eBay, just added the horn button to it:

thanks bill. no installation kit needed?

luke

Yes Luke, the installation kit is also needed.

Thanks again guys. Once I find out confirmation I'll reply back with the next update.

Got my Illumin8s park lamp kit today. This converts the stock turn signals into LED driving lamps/turn signal combo.
http://globaloverdrive.com/

They literally install in minutes. Only thing that made the job take a little longer is I had to pull the park lamps out as assemblies from the back so the valance splash shields had to come out, could not pull just the lenses out from the front.
You remove the bulbs, & install the LEDs that have a pigtail with a socket that takes the place of the bulb. A little bracket goes between the screw holes of the lens inside to hold the LED unit in place. The LEDs are centered in the lens, the camera angle just makes them look "off" in the picture.
The kit also included an electronic flasher, however I did not need to use it.
Can't wait to try these out at night!  :icon_smile_big:

The Hotchkis dogbone rear bar looks really nice under there.  Looks like the front is going totally tubular as well!  :coolgleamA:

Yeah, can't leave well enough alone. Collected some Hotchkis stuff over the past few months to swap in.
Plans are:
1) Swap the KYB's for Hotchkis Fox Tuned shocks.
2) Swap the stock upper arms for Hotchkis.
3) Swap the stock 383 t-bars for the Hotchkis 1.10" bars.
4) Wheel alignment & test drive.

The strut rods and tie rods were already upgraded to beefier aluminum pieces, so they are staying. I didn't feel it was necessary to swap those out again. I like the ride height with the MP leafs out back, so they are staying also. Everything else now is pretty much from their TVS system, including their sway bars.

I started on the driver's side. Got the t-bar in tonite, went in much easier than the old one came out! Started mocking up the upper control arm as well. Once the driver's side is complete I'll do the passenger side.

Here's a pic of a t-bar removal tool I cobbled up quick out of crap I found in my garage: a piece of 2x4, a part of an exhaust clamp, and a small piece of heater hose. Worked like a charm.

Nice work Bill! Your gonna like those new parts.

I'm more impressed with how clean that undercarriage is.  It's cleaner than the outside of my car!

x2!

Bill, did you just get a new bolt kit from RT Specialties?
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

bill440rt

These painted undercarriages are pretty easy to keep clean. A rag with soap & water, cleaners, detailers, etc. Just like you would use on the outside of a car.
70MM, you have PM about the bolt kit question. I didn't really need any bolt "kits" with this car. Lots of stuff I had, some I restored, others I bought, still other stuff came from the local hardware store.  :2thumbs:

Well, torsion bars are in. Upper control arms are done one side, other side half done. Waiting for new upper shock bushings to come in, then I can install the shocks & finish bolting the spindles back together. Also needed to replace the sway bar link bushings. It's surprising to see what these little rubber/poly parts look like with only 2000 miles on them.
Hopefully by the weekend I'll have it back together. I really want to see how it sits when it's back on the ground & after the alignment.  :yesnod:

Too funny!  :icon_smile_big:  Maybe his insurance only allows 500 miles per year?  :smilielol:  Sorry Bill, I couldn't resist the urge to pile on there.... Just bustin' chops!  :yesnod:
