Here's my 440 4-speed Charger 500

Nice car, but it probably should have been posted in this thread. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,64630.0.html :icon_smile_wink:

Dan
Good point, I obviously didn't read the title of the post close enough. I'll have to find a picture of our 68 now.

Actually, you can probably get by on a technicality as the Charger 500's were starting being built sometime in June '68, as I recollect, along with the last of the production '68's.  :2thumbs:  I'm looking forward to seeing your '68!

Dan

Yeah, that's why I did that.  :smilielol: All 69 C500's were built in 68, right?

Thanks Dan

Beautiful C500 no matter what thread.   :yesnod:

Ghoste

The prototype (which was a 68) was shown in of 68 but production of the 69 C500 didn't start until August of 68 whne the other much nicer looking Chargers were also rolling off the line. :D

Thanks

I love them all, wish I could have a whole stable full of Chargers.

RamZCharger

Yeah, original color, although sprayed over in areas so not looking forward to seeing what's under it all.  The rear quarters need to be replaced, the 78 year old grandma I bought it from would scrap along her garage moving it around.  The trunk is gone also.  383 4 brl, all original 73k miles.  I just replaced the intake and carb to have more fun but she is sputtering.  68RRFlyer is making a house call to help with that.  Anyway, really enjoy this forum and this thread in particular.  Cheers, Darren

Hitman,
Im a big fan of the turbo buick cars aslo, but really cought mopar fever since I picked up my charger.
How do you like your eldorado? I had a 98 eldorado I traded in several years ago on a escalade. I really regret getting rid of that car. One of the best looking cars IMO.
Not to chage the topic from 68 chargers, but here is a pic I found of mine.

dodgecharger-fan

It's not very aerodynamic...

:P

Ah! What's inside?!

It's tough to get any good pics. And I can't drop the ramp - it's too close to the house.
It won't be staying here anyway. So, no big deal. I've got some storage lined up and that's where it's headed once I get everything organized and recorded.

Original 383 (and an extra)

I've got the original 727 and rear end as well.

and this is the original factory air cleaner....  :-\ Well, it came from a factory originally. No?

Tons of boxes of stuff. The car was once almost all together and it did fire up. Now it's all stripped down and boxed up.

Here's a pic or two of what it used to look like.

Plans? None yet, really. Just get things organized and in to storage.
I have to get the 69 done first.
I hadn't planned on this acquisition - not in the least, but it fell into my lap and here it is.

The trailer is big enough to live in if I have to.... so far: I don't have to.  :coolgleamA:

Charger 1

Here are some pics of my brother-in-law's '68.  It's a pretty bad a$$ ride - 500 inch stroker.  While it does appear to be black in the pics, it is actually a color called either 'black rose' or 'black cherry' - it's a really dark metallic purple.
