73 engine mount bolts

Do they need washers behind the head of the bolt or is it ok to leave without? Is the engine going to sink down further in the K-frame if I take the bolt out and add a washer? That's why I haven't done it yet, because of the crappy jack I have it's hard for me to raise the engine enough to let the slack off the mounts to do this.

without taking weight off of the mount you'd have to drive the bolt out and yes, the motor would "sink"

seen this post on moparts... your trans o-ring needs vaseline or some type of lube on it before installation.  helps with sealing.  I know you didnt ask it here, but i rather answer here than there.

your brake hose, did you use a copper bushing on both sides of the brass head?

oh yeah....the washers.....I don't believe you "have" to have them on there, but I do believe they were on there from the factory.....big, nasty, fender washers.....

I got the washers on no problem, but I totally forgot to add a nut and washer to one of them. Does anyone know the size of the bolt? I don't want to take it out to match up because of the trouble. The parts catalog doesn't give a size.

I believe they're 1/2-13, but I'll put a thread gauge on mine when i get home tonight and let you know if no one else chimes in.
