Would someone please buy this car! If someone here does, I think we should all give them a donation for trying to save the car. They will need it! Everything about it is horrible! So, who is brave enough to step up to the plate?

That's true. There's a good three-feet of space protecting the vitals from flood water and mud slides.

I really like the red tie down strap going around the car to hold it together!!! :rotz:

None of those 4x4 cars are appealing to me, least of wich the rusted 68... Not all cars can be saved, some of us need to realize that..

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have seen this car for sale.

I saw a commercial last night where some kid, a boy of about 10 or so, was wearing a blue shirt with a photo of the Jenny Lee 4x4 Sunroof owns,.. it said "xxxxxx" racing,.. I couldn't quite make it out properly but It had that same pushbar and the huge lamps on the roof...

I think sunroofsuperbird has a car exactly like that or that is his. I remember him putting up a picture of it next to another 4x4 Charger.

This where you'd be wrong...If you'd seen ANY of my cars when I started then, you'd see that some of us have to come by deals on the cars we love by buying what nobody else wants in order to have them....Some say they "Can't" do bodywork etc..I didn't know how until I was forced to learn as I couldn't pay anybody but I still had the drive for the car...
Where there's a will there's a way I say...Not all of us can start out with a rust free/dent free car body....Some do the impossible with your "Junk"...

that is sunroofsuperbird's car. what was done to that car was typical of a lot of cars in the 80's they were just cars/ It was done to the car, it's not a big deal, it was HIS car. now if someone else wants it they can buy it and do what they see fit. no sense bashing the guy for doing that to the car.
i live in CHARGERLAND.. visitors welcome. 166 total, 7 still around

Where are all those cars now? Im betting they are either hondas, soda cans, or are in one of the famous mopar grave yards rotting away. Some cars are just too far gone, some people like to think they can save every single car, when its just not finacially possible or practical. You are entitled to your own opinions, of course, as am I. To me, the 4x4 chargers are disgusting, and the 68 pictured here will either be a donor car, hack job, or scrap metal.

Not sure what your asking, but I still OWN MY cars that I saved that too many Said we're "Too far Gone", "Not practical", "Not worth it", "Parts car only" Etc..These weren't too far gone..Now, if you can't do ANY of the work yourself, then I guess you'd be screwed, but as for ME, that Charger can be saved. I personally don't like 4WD Cars, but to some, they are cool...

If I remember correctly he took the nice 4X4 General Lee out off-roading and wrecked it.  He smashed up one of the quarters.

I don't like the uppity "Hemi azzholes" at the local Car show, but I don't bash them...I just simply refuse to be around them...

Whats wrong is they got 1 rather than me and I am 'almost' jelous  :nana: :icon_smile_wink:

I believe I was refering to "Hemi Azzholes" not ALL Hemi owners...You guys gotta not be so quick to jump to conclusions . I know plenty of both...The latter seem to be "ok" to be around, but they can get on the "Uppity" side some as well...The ones I was refering to are what I see as the Hemi posers...You know you've seen 'em, as everybody has at some point...Just like I know some of you guys on this Very site don't care for someone "Ruining" a Charger by painting it Orange and putting a BIG "01" on the doors....See if this phrase sounds familiar...

"Hey guy, nice ride".
"Yeah, thanks"..
"What Does it run?"
"It's gotta Hemi, it has nothing to prove" ::)

OR THIS one is my favorite...

"Hey guys, whatcha talkin' bout?"
"Oh, just that I made a few passes the other night at test and tune with the little 340"..
"Wha'd it run?"
"6.80's"
"Woulda went faster if you had a Hemi in it"
"Oh yeah? What did your Hemi run?"
"Oh, I don't have one and no nothing about what "6.80" Means, but all I do know is that I'm gonna jump on the "Hemi's the sh*t bandwagon", cause that's all I've ever heard... ::)

OR, the best one yet...
"Hey! Nice '58 Plymouth...Does that one have the Hemi?"
"Well, Seeing as how NO Plymouth's in 1958 Came with "The Hemi", I'd have to say .......Nope"... ::)

OR This one is a classic...

"Oh man, You own my dream car...The General Lee!!"
"Really?, you a Big fan huh?"
"Oh yeah, The General Lee was the Best musclecar ever with that HEMI in it"..
"Um, .......Dude, the General Lee never had a Hemi on the show...Thank goodness"..
"Oh YES IT DID! That's Why it was the fastest car in Hazzard County! I know, I saw the "real" GL at a show and it had a HEMI in it!" ::)

Plain and simple...There are two kinds of Hemi owners in my book....The tollerable ones, and the Azzholes...
The latter are Pompus, arrogant, egotistical, Uppity folks, that when they roll in to the local car show, they are of the opinion that "OK, the HEMI is here, everybody else go home"...
Ok, Thread Hijack over, back to bashing the 4WD General Lee.... :D
