Is there anything Dave Grohl can't do????

Never been a HUGE fan of the Foo Fighters' music, but I read a history of the bad and how Grohl started it, etc.  Really an interesting read...the guy has an incredible amount of talent.

Never been a huge fan of the Foo Fighters either, but I do enjoy their music overall. The dude is definetly talented...I believed he played ALL the instruments in the first album. So much for those who say that Nirvana were a bunch of talentless hacks who couldnt play....

I posted this in the Scott Stapp thread, but it's worth reposting...

AND wrote all the songs AND composed all the music AND shopped it around to labels.

AND he's the drummer for Queens of the stone age AND he's in Tenacious D.

Gotta hand it to the guy.

For classic metalheads, his Probot project was one of the best true metal items to hit the shelves in years. He got some of the old school metal greats, and collaborated with them to create a song that was stylistically like something they would have made at their peak.

I never paid much attention to Grohl until I saw him interviewed after he started the Foo Fighters. He's interesting & not an idiot like a lot of pop stars, so I enjoyed listening to him. Some of the Foo Fighter stuff is okay, but some of it is way too pop sounding, so I haven't bought anything by him yet. When Queen's opened for Nine Inch Nails last month, he wasn't there. They weren't anything special, but I was hoping to see him there just because of what he's been doing everywhere else. The band that came on before Queen's blew them away & I never heard of them before, "Death From Above 1979." Just a drummer/singer & the bass player. (Bought the CD but they were better live.)
