I must have received at least a dozen requests just this morning warning me of problems with my Chase bank account.  Every one of these helpful warnings came from a different person and I think that for a huge bank like Chase to assign a dozen different people to look after me proves that I am a very treasured customer.  I would happily log on to any or all of these helpful warnings to reconfirm my account and personal information except for one small detail.  I don't have a Chase account.  ::)

I wonder what the percentage is on successful phishing?

It only takes a few to make it worth the effort I guess.............. :rotz:

I got one from ebay this morning to a e-mail account I don't use for ebay.

If they get hits on just 1% of the 100,000 e-mails they send out thats still 1,000 paydays.

and if you get $100 from each person thats an easy days work.

I've received tons of emails lately from "Chase". The others I love are EBay/Paypal "problem" emails where I must login immediately to fix the problem  :slap:

Bastards...

I think they should just take one of these guys, and publicly execute them, with a pair of tweezers.
Painful and slow. Just keep pulling off little pieces until they are all gone.

I think it would solve a lot of the problems.

I have never heard of any of thease A$$holes getting caught.
You would think the Fed's would do more to catch them.
Mabey They are but I just never here about it.

Watch out for the "Your VISA account password has expired" e-mails that seem to be getting blasted out lately.

I haven't seen the whole e-mail, because I have my e-mail set up to block images, I delete the e-mail right away, but hovering over where the image would be shows a link in the status bar that is definitely NOT a VISA site.

I guess Im the only one that really doesnt get all that trash. Im so guarded with my email. I refuse to give it to anyone that asks for it. Like radioshack or Lowes or any other business.

Im the same way with my home mail. Im on the do not mail list, do not call list. I cant stand junk I didnt ask for.
If I do get something in the mail, I just put return to sender, remove from mailer. After all, they paid postage so they can have it back.
