BALLAST RESISTOR VOLTAGE???

How much voltage is should be coming out (Brown wire) of the ballast resistor! I am getting 4.65 volts in the 69 Superbee. We fried the mallory unilite Module in the distributor (it came with the car) and the darn alternator is not charging. It is enough to piss me off!

i'm getting same voltage too ... an HARD starting... quite often getting backfire if I crank and get back the key to OFF... being me really carefully with this and with slight knowledgement, I'm right now pretty lost and I'm pretty sure my wiring is good.
already changed ECU, Coil, ballast ( I was sure wasn't the ballast because damaged ballast won't keep brake warning light on cluster when cranking )... only rest pick up coil at dist.

but still wondering abouit the voltage. Has been told it should be around 9 volts when warn engine.

Note: 4.6 volts with brown wire conected to coil!
