hey guys & gals....
ok here's a quick update on the resto!!!!
i spoke to my buddy at the shop today... as im stuck home with the flu & a resp infection for like the last 2-3 weeks!!!!!! ugggg but on to more inportant things like the car!!!!! hehehehe
all the MSD ign stuff is on (6al ign box, ss coil, dist.. and firedude (lol) ron's firecore wires!!!)
the nice black acura rsx seats were test fitted and i was told they look sweeeeet and will fit NO PROB!!!!!! im having my rear stock seats redone in to match the front acura pattern!! they are almost done also!!!  
the steel hood is bolted on....
the new brake booster & master came back.. but had to go back out (as it wasn't holding any vacuum).. shoukd be back by end of week!?!?!
the new 3:55 gears are alllll in & rear sway bar is done & bolted up nice!!!! looooks sweeeeet!!!
new hurst pro shifter is in... not sure what to do about the console yet?!?!?! hmmmmmm lol

yea it's gettin there!! lol yes the tires are low.... lol we gotta swap them out for ones that arent dry rotted & hold air longer than 2-3 days!!! lol  yea it does look pretty sinister flat black with those wheels... but i plan on doing it nice gloss black, prob w/ a set of TT II's.....

some nice progress at the shop today!!! retouched up the motor a lil, and the engine bay.
put in the rad & the fan.... the alt, power steering pump, the oil cooler also!!!
pullled out the front bucket & tomorrow we are gonna put in the sweeeet acura seats!!! hopefully fire her up tomorrow!!!???

Hey HITMAN149  what size are your centerlines and your tires?

hey riot...
actually we just swapped out the nasty dry rotted no air holding tires today!!! lol
the wheels are 15 X 8 up front and 15 X 10 out back... the tires that were on the car were the wrong sizes... the fronts were too big and rubbed.... i threw on a decent set that my buddy had at the shop.... yokohama 245/70/15 just for now, LOL they alll hold air!!!   3 are good tread and 1 is kinda bald.. so if i can find another decent used one somewhere.. i'll grab it, but they are kinda old tires & an odd size from what i was told... BUT they are wayyyyy better than the other ones that were on there!!!!  

yea zipppppppy i do AND i already have them!!!! sooooooo   lol

hey tan top.... no it's part of a kit... i got the whole susp set up from perf susp?!?! @ 2 1/2 yrs ago?!?  at that time hotchkis had stopped making them for our chargers... i heard they are making them now?!?!? but are BIG BUCK$!!! lol

i got them out of a 2004 Acura RSX S type. i picked them up at a big slavage yard for a steal!!! i still have to get the seatbelt housings... if the car's airbag has gone off they are useless. so i guess the car that the seats came out of got bashed!!!! lol

nooo we welded a nice BIG bolt upside-down on the floor of the car & then put a nut w/ a washer (this way you can adjust it & make the seats level. kinda like a washmachine!! lol) and then another washer & nut to tighten it all up.

Acura RSX seats and 99-2005 Toyota Celica seats are the same seat.  Here a is 03 Celica with these seats in it.

I purchased my 03 RSX seats off of E-Bay.  They were close by, so I was able to pick them up.  I believe I gave $140.00 for the seats.  Which I believe to be a steal compared to some of the cheep, no brand seats for sale out there for a lot more money.

my buddy in queens got my rear seats back from his upholstery guy....
he still has the seats but he shot me a pic & thought id share!!! also i was at the shop earlier & the car is going back up on the lift tonight & has been scheduled for some work!!! maybe even get fired up this week?!?!? hehehehe keep your fingers crossed!!!  he said he was having a hard time finding the correct rad hoses?!?!? i mean it's the stock rad & a 440?!?!? anyone else have probs finding one??? hahaha

no work updates... just some pics... but hopefully the CORRECT  rad hoses will be in on monday!!! yay!! lol
here's some close up (best i could get) of how we mounted the seats... like i said earlier, we welded a big bolt right to the floor & then mounted to seats roight on top of it... easier this way.. cause then you can take the seats in & out for anything by yourself... (you don't need someone under the car to loosen the nuts!! lol

you know squeak... you may be right??? i never really noticed or thought much about it??? but the car has been at my buddy's shop for 3 yrs!!! lol  but the Green (ewwww lol) paint seems to match from the half gutted interior?!?!? hahaha
hmmmm i was just looking thru my charger pics ive acumulated.... and it's seems its like half & half...between the 68 & 69's
some 68's are closer to the back as like the 69's and some 68 & 69's are cmore up front!?!?!? wtf?? hahahah is it a definate differance between the two years?? or just a kinda wherever dodge wanted to put them?!?!?!

      The 68's are farther back. Probably make them easier to break into with a coat hanger than a 69.
     It's just something to keep in mind if you have to purchase upper door panels.

i got my carpet & headliner today from a good buddy of mine i work with!!!  he had a 69 charger project he ended up selling, and had the carpet & headliner laying around... so i scored for a bottle of 101 wild turkey  lol!!!

so how much sealer (POR 15??)  would i need to do the interior & the trunk also....
AND also what sound/heat deadener (dynomat??) should i scope out?!?!? and how much of that also for the interior & trunk would i need?!?!? anyone??? lol  ohhhh yea and where do you guys recommend i get them from?!?!?

hey guys...
so today i stripped my old center console of all the chrome stuff & i have a really nice shape orig center console im gonna most likely use?!?!? or at least i wanna use the orig chrome top plates on something.. cause i think they are cool looking and add character to the car....
here's a quick before....during and after pic of the front peice console top plate... (NICE a lil easy off does wonders!!! all the old paint & grime just basically fell off!!!) a couple quick passes w a toothbrush... rinse.... and allll done!!!
tomorrow i'll work on the other peices a lil earlier than i did today.. lol

im debating on painting the center ribs... or the outer (old dull silver edge) BLACK... ??

frankie FLG hooked me up w/ some of his time for the front sway bar!!! thanks bro!!! 
another buddy of mine from work has been helping me with some of the wiring & carb linkage stuff...and another friend helped me w/ the gauge cluster for a great price!!! 
i had to order a new throttle cable, and a u joint adapter from mancini racing today...
my throttle cable was tooo short!! ugggg and when my rear gears were swapped out... they just replaced my whole center chunk... and my yoke is now smaller (7260)!!!aghhhhhh so my new u joints were tooooo big!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!
but we are gettin there lil by lil!! and with some great help with true friends!!!!!! thanks guys!!!!!!! 
here's the new gauges wired in.. we still have a few bugs to work out.. or maybe some of my switches are bad?!?!
but they came out nice!!!! i still have to finish painting the letters n all..
