Hello,

I have been installing all of the sheet metal on my car so I can do the final prep for paint and have a question regarding the 1/4 panel end caps.

Are these installed and then painted or painted separate? The reason I ask is they do not seem to fit perfectly, some small gaps exist,  and almost appear as if the could use a little sealer between the caps and the end of the 1/4 but they look as if they should be painted and then installed.

I did not take the car apart so I am unsure.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the response. I suspected so but notice that the contour does not match perfectly with the 1/4. Would this be normal for these mass produced cars? There are spots where there is approximately a 1/16 inch gap.

I've found that if you want them to fit perfectly, as none seem to fit EXACTLY right, you have to "Make" them fit with use of fillers to get the seem just right...
