Gentlemen

I'm ready to begin reassembling my 69's grill but I'm unsure of the factory finish on the headlight door actuators. Was it cadmium or argent silver......ish? Thanks

I like the term silver....ish, yes I use dull aluminum color paint, I don't think they are painted
at all from the factory, never seen any evidence of it that's for sure. There has been many threads
on this, you should try a search  :yesnod:

NOS ones on ebay I have seen are black. and I mean the NOS not the reproes

Morning all,

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. While searching this subject I did find one thread where the guy painted his black. I didn't care for the look. From what I've been able to find they weren't painted at all like you mentioned Dan. Silver....ish it is then!
