Well, I'll be looking for a new daily driver

My '93 Cherokee Country 4x4 caught on fire tonight. My dad called and asked for me to pick him up. I figured he ran out of gas as usual. I got close and I saw the fire trucks and I thought "oh, there's a fire" but then I realized it was my truck. My dad was driving it and he said he guesses the fuel line burst. He's fine but the truck isn't. The whole engine compartment on the left side is cooked, the top of the fender and the left side of the hood is bubbled. Not much damage fire wise but it's enough to write it off. They already had the fire out by the time I got there. Too bad, it was a clean truck. Oh well, looks like I'll be looking for a new truck...possibly another Cherokee or an older Durango or something. We'll see how much I get for it. I took off my Mr Angry sticker and when I got home I put it on my Charger. :'(

Well, there's about 800 billion Cherokees out there to choose from. Maybe we could pay China in used Cherokees and get out of debt? :shruggy:

Time to whip out Bull's top 3 foolproof rules for buying used cars from dealerships:

1. Know exactly what you want and what it's worth before stepping foot on the lot.
2. Offer nothing more than Blue Book value and stick to it.
3. Give the salesman a deadline (ie. say, "I have to go to work in 30 minutes, make it happen").

Cody, Jeep is replaceable. But save the rear window decal! ha-ha.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Good luck with the durango.  Make sure that the upper ball joints were replaced in them under the recall.  Ive always loved the first gen durangos over the newer box looking ones.

Older ECM's (mounted inside driver's fender) have been known to cause fires.   O well.

Good luck.

That's all he needs, another one catching on fire!!! I think I'd switch to a bicycle if that happened  :icon_smile_big:

That's sucks, Cody.  :pity: We know.  :rotz:  Good luck with the Durango.

Got some pictures through the insurance company fence. You can see the top of the fender and the left side of the hood are burnt. I miss that truck, I LOVED the colour. :rotz:
