One of my favorite funny moments here was long ago.      Cody made a post that his dad found some old car in the bushes by his school a couple years ago.    ;)   So, me being the way I am, I said the first thing that came to mind.

"Cody, what's your dad doing in the bushes by your school" ? ? ?    :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

That is one of my favorites.   Now you guys share one of your favorite funny moments on this site.    :2thumbs:

I still remember all that 426HemiCharger BS. I love what DS440 did with him though when 426 DEMANDED a photoshop done of his Charger....

Here we go again with the name calling and the bossing around.  Just cuz I'm back and it SAYS I have like 5 posts...doesn't mean I'm a "newbie" there hot shot.  Big man from behind a keyboard miles away.  Cool, now we have something.

Are you addressing me? If so I wasn't talking about you, I was using your situation as an example and if you consider "Poor Gilbie" to be name-calling I put it in quotes because it was used by someone earlier. But since you decided to mouth off again I'll add this: It's too bad the word Gold isn't in your user name because then you, Silver and Bronze could be the top three medalists in the DC.com Bonehead Olympics.

Jeez, I might as well quit because I can't top that one. I don't take meds so I'll have to credit old age as the explanation for my kinder and gentler demeanor over the past three years. Or am I just as bad? Or worse? BTW, Bronze and Silver are no longer in the running for the DC.com Bonehead Olympics, in part because I now think they are ok guys (don't take that as an insult, Bronze) and also because Joey Gowdy has stomped the competition, grabbed the gold and apparently left the building with it in his chicken-grease-covered hand. I loved it when mustanghater announced that he started his own forum.   :smilielol:

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,2551.0.html

MUSTANG HATERS TEK FORUM STUFF

Subject: Car is running hot.

Q: Please help, my car runs at 250 degrees & makes steam when I get to a light. What could be wrong & what should I do?

A: What kinda car? If it's not a Charger, it must be a peace a crap so don't fix it.

Q: It's a 71 with a 318.

A: It's almost a peace of crap so shut off for a couple minutes or as long as the lights red so you can get to wear your goin. When its off at the light make sure you gotta killer stereo so the ricers that pull up cant here the motors not on. The'll think your bad ass with some loud metal & will be afraid to look at you & nevr no it aint runnin write.

Subject: My car stalls & runs sluggish

Q: When my car is cold it stalls, what could be wrong? It runs better after its warm, but sluggish.

A: Well make sure you start it after its in the sun awhiles. Is it a dark color like black or a darker color like dark black? Try gettin rattle cans at home depot & paint the hood black or dark black & then you'll soak up the sons heat. The sluggish thing should go away if you get some reel good gas like premium.

Subject: What is the maximum compression to run on pump gas?

Q: This is a question that nobody agrees on, as it can vary greatly due to cam selection. We rarely go over 10-1, even with aluminum heads. Unlike some small combustion chamber designs, hemi's have little quench at low compression. If the engine is efficiently filling the cylinders, a small camshaft can cause detonation, even at low compression ratios. We build many under 10-1 compression street engines that exceed 700HP. Too much compression for the octane of the fuel will be more detrimental to engine performance than compression that is slightly low. Note: higher altitude engines can use slightly more compression. Which compression ratio, in your opinion, might be best in a 3400 pound A-Body?

A: How the fuk wood I no?

Sadly what I remembered most about the site, including the old site, was the bs and the hate.  It killed it for a lot of folks.  I did have a ton of fun in the chat room though and I sure miss it.  I don't think many of those members are still around, unless they changed their handle like I did or are simply reading but not posting.

I took a long break from this place, probably 3+ years.  It's a much better place now, still some strong opinions around but at least it remains pretty civil.

Something like that.  I think Troy saved it from the old site.

The one with Silver was a thread that asked who you looked up to.  Silver replied that he looked up to himself and I told him that was easy to do when you had your head up your ass.

There was one that I can't seem to find that I laughed about for days.
Someone posted about thieves stealing fender tags. And someone said they were going to weld it in place.  Bull replied about having wheels stolen and wanting to weld the lugs on. Someone stoped him as I remember "before he went crazy with the welder".
The thread was just hilarous.  Anyone know where that went?   :shruggy:
