At my martial arts club there is one nice girl who is a collegue of the head teacher. Both Detectives at our Police Department. She is new since a few months but nice to train with.

A few weeks back I wonder if she would be interested in going out for a drink or dinner but the timing wasn't right to ask her.

Yesterday , out of the blue, she came up to me and asked if I wanted to go out for a drink or something 'more' exciting later this week.

So, a got a date with a female cop thursday night.

Chrissy, you know how the cops are around me and my car, they love it so I say yes.      And the best part is you know she has her own handcuffs.        Bottom line is this.........   If you've found a WOMAN that has no problem with a man in speeeeeedo's then I say HELL YES ! ! !      For the most part Police officers are good people and way under paid IMO.   Do your civic duty and date her..

I think its the other way around......most cops I know (including my father who is retired now) are ABOVE the law dontcha know....heck that badge does wonders on & off the job.
Heck for my job I have a badge as well & it has gotten me in & out of stuff numerous times....

I say take the plunge.  My wife dated a cop once, she said it wasnt all bad (she did marry me and all.)  You have to remember though, she is most likely going to be a tough girl (which I personally like in a woman).  She has to be to make it in police work.  I say do it, if things go right she can probably get you out of speeding tickets, not jail but one or two tickets atleast.  An hell she asked you out, so you know there is definate interest on her part, there is no guessing she already told ya she likes ya.

my dad is a lawyer and so is my wife , for the right money i can get out of speeding tickets too .     if you dont abuse it it's ok

I don't think so.  As long as you don't expect it, and don't ask for it from the officer at the time of the ticket it shouldn't be a problem.  Having her fix one or two isn't bad, but asking her to fix six or seven is way out of line.  Don't expect it to be fixed, and don't drive like you are above the law and it should be fine.  Fixing one or two tickets is just a perk of knowing someone in LE, but like anything in this world just don't abuse it.

Thanks, at least someone wants to hear my opinion.  You don't have to post it without her knowledge, just tell her your posting it.  Use your camera phone to "capture the moment" on your date.  You know you both squeezing together to get a self taken pic, aaahh how cute.  Then post it on here for all of us to live vicariously through you. 
Oh and a tip from a colleague that is a female officer, don't get too hung up on the whole cop thing.  Touch on it once in a while in conversation, but don't make it the main topic.  They want to know that you are interested in them, and not the badge.

This is exactly how I approach(ed) her. I respect her being from law enforcement and now and then I ask about her job. First of all she is a young woman with feelings and thoughts but she is also a cop (24/7).
I can imagine if you'd go on a date and talk about work all the time, the evening could end up a little sooner than expected.

Sorry to hi-jack but But no it not disturbing to me and It's better to know the DA in terms of traffic favors.....as we know in our town that lots of corruption is the norm    Lot's of them are above the law. Every year or so they put a couple away for their actions.
