hello, just wanted to post up an introduction to say hi.

although i no longer have a charger, i DID way back when i was 16....my dad found it for me. it was a 1970 charger 500, demostrator car for a dealer. bought it for $850.00 in 1978,lol. lot of money back then. it only had a 318/727 2 bdl, single exhaust, auto with air. bucket seats and console. ugly green with ugly green interrier, hahaha...but man i LOVED that car. DUKES OF HAZZARD was in full swing ont he tv and i along with my friends thought i had general lee jr. broke 4 sets of motor mounts, radiators, and fans. 2 windsields and 1 rear window. jumped ditches and everything else i could think of. stupid kid that i was. and then, i got out of school and had ot go to work....needed better gas milage so i sold the old girl, again STUPID KID I WAS) for $300.00 at an auto auction. drove a honda cvcc for 4 yrs and couldn't stand it. no room, no get up and go...no nothing really.

i found this site, been lurking for a while and decided to ask to join. THANKS FOR ACCEPTING me.

i am now 51 yrs old and thinking of TRYING to find me a project car, and since i know a little about the 70 charger...i want to see if i can find me one. don't want one already fixed up. jsut wanting to find me a nice rolling chassis. or body here, frame there and so on and so forth. i got time....but funds are low right now so i am looking for bits and pieces here and there. no hurry either.

hopefully i can put me together what i intended my old one to be when i had her. not gonna reveal my plans...jsut that IF i can do htis...i'll post up pics of her when i get her done.

looking at the pics of all these BEAUTIFUL chargers has gotten me the fever folks. i absolutly LOVE these cars. 66-70 chargers are my favorites. with the 67 and 70 as the tops on my list. so wiht all this being said. IF any one of you know of or have some parts or a nice project car. le tme know ok? perfer 70, but willing ot look at the 67 chargers too. love the fold down back seat of the 67. sweped back styling is awesum.

ok, i have typed enough and bored oyu long enough, but i could go on all day about what i love about these cars. forgive my typing skills too if you don't mind, not the best at it.

agian, thanks for having me aboard folks.

Tilar

Welcome aboard! If you haven't already noticed there are many many years of combined experience around here and there is absolutely nothing that somebody on here won't know about these old cars.

Just to clarify, you might find a "body here", but no "frame there" as these cars are unibody and had no frame so to speak.  ;)
