Nascar,

Instead of taking pic with cam, since you cant right click you can always hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard, go to paint, hit CTRL+V, then use the selction tool, select the pic, right click and hit "cut", open new paint doc and again CTRL+V, save as JPEG and you will have this :2thumbs:

isn't that one of the cars in W VA?  the guy has a bunch of cars (some in great shape) and some that were left to die.  If so this is a V code 4 speed car.

Car looks very similar indeed, but the building is different. No wood fence coming out from the wall.

richRTSE

I'd say it's the same car...all of these items appear to be the same: nose cone, front of hood, off color fender scoops, the white blanket on the dash, and even the lettering on the front tires.

maxwellwedge

The car has moved - Unfortunately a little closer to the Earths core...

I hear ya. It's exactly like those guys up north that drove their musclecars on salt covered roads until they rusted away and then came down south and bought up all of the solid southern cars...only different.  :icon_smile_big:

it's something like that.  Mom and I accidentally found it while trying to get back to the interstate--imagine our surprise at seeing a Superbird on a hill in the grass.  We stopped back one other time but the owner wasn't there.  his daughter let us in and showed us a bunch of his NASCAR stuff...she had to be like 15 at the time, and that was 10+ years ago.  every time I pass that exit I think of the car.

I can't tell you where it is but I know what the exit looks like and can probably find the house again!

62 Max

There was one very similar to that in Morefield,WV about 10yrs ago.

I live in WV. My wife has family in Beckley. We're about 2 hours north of there. I may have to do some snoopin around next time we go down there.
Any of you guys from WV?

Mojoluv

This car is located in Beckley, WV. I have some pics somewhere of me standing next to it. It is an Alpine white, sixpack, 4-speed car. The owner bought the car new and parked it in his front yard back in the mid 80's. It hasnt moved since. He has another bird sitting in the backyard that is in black primer. These cars are not for sale. The basement of the house is full and I mean FULL of parts.....good parts! There is also a 67 Hemi Charger in the basement that has less than 10K miles on it sitting on original tires. Its bronze in color and column shift automatic.....yes column shift. Hanging from the ceiling is hundreds of desirable steering wheels. Complete Hemi's and Sixpack motors sitting around. I mean this place is so packed with stuff, there are paths through it all. Nothing for sale, but they dont care to let you drool over it. The car is not hard to find. You get off the interstate at the Beckley exit. It used to be a toll road and it only goes one way off the interstate. You travel a little ways up it and take the first main road on the right. The car is sitting in his front yard to the left just past a gas station. Its been about 5 years since I was there but Im sure it hasnt moved. The car had sat there so long that the bottom of the nose cone was rusted away. Just my 2 cents.

hotrod98

This car reminds me of something that happened to me in September, 2006. I was attending a car show in nw Arkansas and a guy mentioned to me that a guy near there had a real Superbird for sale for 20K, but it needed some work. The car was way out in the sticks, but I managed to find the car pretty easily. I was surprised to see it just sitting out in the front yard much like the bird in this thread.
Wasn't my day though. Turns out that it was a clone and the guy wanted 30K for it. It wasn't all that great of a car and was probably a 20-25K car in my opinion, tops.  It was worth a try though since you miss 100% of the shots that you don't take.
