This is from a cold start. Cranks well and fires right up. After run 30 seconds or so it begins to pop out the tailpipe. If I turn the distrubitor counterclockwise it causes the popping to stop but it will start again at a slight throttle. Pay no attention to the video I had to add a picture before I could make it work.

I'm guessing its a miss on one cylinder, especially if you're running stock exhaust manifolds.
Sounds like one cylinder is loading up and dumping out the manifold then igniting off hot exhaust from the other cylinders.
I would pull the plugs and see which one is carboned up.

plug or wire causing a misfire.  thus causing inefficient burn of fuel.  check each plug for carbonization and ohm test the spark plug wire leading to that plug to ensure the resistance is in line with the others.

if nothing shows up from that, inspect cap to make sure contact on distributor cap is uniform and is not corroded.

It does sound like it's missing, even before it starts to pop. I'd have to agree with what's being said above. Probably something with your ignition system. Sounds pretty good otherwise. :2thumbs:

BTW, smart thinking putting up a video for diagnostic purposes. I don't think I've seen anyone do that before (not that it hasn't been done).

I'll pull some plugs later today, all plugs are new, as are the wires, cap, rotor button, points, capacitor. I've got the Hedman ceramic coated headers on it as well as a X pipe, fresh build on the engine, etc, hopefully its just a bad plug. I've got a Mopar Performance electronic distributor kit that will be here on Friday, looks like that would have to be an improvement over the points. I haven't gotten to drive the car yet, just now getting the engine- drivetrain complete.

Sometimes it the simple things. I had the # 7 and #2 plug wires crossed. It runs much better now.  While I was under the hood I went ahead an installed the M.P. electronic distributor. I'll try to get another sound clip of it.  Thanks.
