Took a look on Amazon and the cheapest one on there is $125.

Once a book goes out of print, if there is any kind of demand it does not take very long for prices to inflate past the cover price.

No, but I guess in all fairness to Paul Herd, he was really a Pontiac guy and when he wrote that book he was just trying to help us (and make a buck).  There wasn't anything else out there at the time and no internet really so I do remember when I bought mine being grateful for it.

Well, you see, some of you didn't appreciate a book that you had and thought not much of it  but now you do sense there is a $$ sign amount that now goes along with the book that some of you all didn't know it now had. When you get a book you should always take care of it no matter what  :slap: :shruggy:

I don't have the book, didn't get one when they first came out and still don't want one now because of the cash that it could pull in.

And wouldn't you just know it, a quick check reveals that his Barracuda/Challenger Restoration book is bringing more money than the Charger one.  Those E-body guys just can't keep a dollar in their wallet no matter what.

I bought the book last year of EBay and I know I didn't pay over $30 for it.

bsakal

My buddy bought me that book for my 30th birthday, 13 years ago, I didn't even own a Charger until 5 years ago, he must have known something!  :2thumbs:

This Charger right here is a one of none, that means none before it, none to come.

tipopiola

Wow, I bought mine last year at Borders for the cover price.  I can't believe that a book that has only been out of print for such a short time could have gone up that much!

It's not worth that much money unless some idiot actually pays that much for it.

I bought one before I started my project but I actually havn't read it yet. I guess I looked for a moore "how to do it" book
and ended up with "Project Charger" by Larry Lyles which didn't learn me anything either. I'm lucky to have DC.COM. :yesnod:
