what size tires for my back 16.5 x 10 wheels???

hey guys....
ok sooooo yesterday at the shop we swapped out my old dry rotted non air holding tires!! lol
my buddy had a set laying around of older but 3 with decent tread (and they hold air!!! lol) yokohama avid s/t 245/70/15 tires.... but 1 of them is pretty bald.... i was lookin for another used one or new even to replace it... BUT can't seem to find that tire as it's older and that size is ODD!!! lol
sooooo my question is what other size would fit my back wheels 16.5 (across lip to lip) X 10 wide??? these are just temp tires for a lil bit till i get my 18" TT II's and nice wheels later on during 2010..... muahahahaha

Go with 295/50-15

as far as I know 16.5's were only used on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks, that is the smallest size that would fit around the brakes. They have been phased out in favor of 17's now. I am not sure if many places even still make 16.5 rims

hahaha lmao i spoke to a buddy of mine & i was measuring from outter lip to lip... so it's reallly a 16 X 10 wheel!!! hahaha

HMMMMMM so sun.... i should go with a 295/50/15 for the rears??? i'll scope out some used sets!!!

Hitman...........is the tires you had on them rims taken off now or are they still there? Or somewhere that you can have a look at them, to see the diameter on them.
Another way to measure size of your rim is masure witdh BETWEEN lips( inside to inside), and diameter just inside lip. (flat area before it rolls up to lip)

If it is 10 wide, and 15 diameter........................295/50 -15

ok ill scope it out!!! but pretty sure they are 16 x 10's?!?!? i'll have my buddy check at the shop tomorrow!!!
