Take a look at http://www.1969chargerregistry.com/broadcast.html. That will get you going. Now to read the buildsheet; as an example, the "A  COMBINATION GROUPS  A" section, line 6, and the code "47" in that section, reads as "A47", meaning "Special Edition Package". I'm sure Chris or someone else can get you where you want to go.  :2thumbs:

Just 6T9 CHGR

Steve did a great job with the exception of the radio & wheel codes....

R22 is the AM 8 Track radio

W15 is the code for the deep dish 14" wheel cover
W25 is the code for steel wheels (will always have this code with wheel covers)

You also have the L31 Hood Turn Signals

The other codes in lines 3, 4, 5 are basically the last digits in the part #'s of each item....for example under the "RAD" box you have "55" which denotes the 2949055 radiator...more commonly referred to as the "055" radiator

PS---please take the time to register that bad boy!

Thanks, Chris...  If ya got your B-sheet, send me a scan and I'll crank it out for you.  I haven't made a big deal about being able to do those, and maybe I'm missing out on an income stream here...  :scratchchin:  That's a bit of a reach though - there can be only one Guru, and I'm not him!

Can anyone help me decode my broadcast sheet? The more I try, the less I seem to accomplish. I was told my car was F3 with a vinyl top, but the sheet shows the roof to be body color.. I know its an SE, 383, 727, but thats all I can get from it.

Really apprietiate it

Look to the right of your paint codes - V1X - Vinyl top in black.

Actually, that's only possibly the case.  The assembly line order is not indicated by the VIN number or scheduled production date.  Both of those were assigned sometimes weeks ahead of when the cars were actually built.

In order to see how close together the two cars likely were (even this is not a guaranteed comparative number), look at the sequence number in the top lefthand corner.  That is the order in which the broadcast sheet came out of the respective IBM printers inside the plant.  Hypothetically, that is also the order the cars came down the line... although for any number of reasons a car could have been pulled off the line for repairs or other special handling which would upset the "official" sequence.

It's quite likely (and I have seen numerous examples of such) that cars with fairly wide spreads in VIN and with totally different build dates were actually built just a few cars apart.
