727 kickdown linkage finish?

Ive just been cleaning up my transmission linkages etc.

Would i be correct in assuming that the brackets are zinc plated, but all the rods are plain steel? Thats what the old ones look like, but cant be sure.

I have no clue what "kick down linkage" is,now throttle pressure linkage I can probably help! :no:

The linkage that goes down to the trans that is operated by the throttle. Forgive my english terms!!!!

There are more linkage configurations than you can imagine, most of the brackets and round linkage rods are bright finish and some appear to be phosphate but are often painted over from the factory.

Interesting. All the rods looked to be bare, or more accurately rusty. The various brackets that join them all looked to be plated and had survived quite well, hence my assumption that the rods were bare?
