The 66 Hemi is gone

SUBTITLED: How I went from a first gen guy to a third gen guy in 5 days and 1 hour, 3,397 miles, and 920 bucks in gas......

Two weekends ago, I loaded up the 66 on my car trailer and headed to Orlando with it. Finally found a buyer, the only catch was he didn't have enough cash for a clean deal, so I got a low mileage 73 Charger SE as partial trade. 33,736 original miles, to be exact. Left NH on Friday the 30th, and pulled back in my yard on Tuesday the 3rd, one hour later than Friday's departure time. What a long ass ride it was! The truck and trailer performed flawlessly, didn't even have a close call with any idiots on the interstates. Got to see an old college friend in Macon, Georgia that I hadn't seen in about 20 years. It did suck parting with my Charger after 25 years, but it was a financial necessity. In this crappy economy, I was probably lucky I got an acceptable deal at all. Good bye, old friend.... I'm gonna miss ya!

dang that sucks you had to sell your 66. glad you got close to what you were looking for. In the end, they are just cars, food on the table comes first.
