Here is a topic I posted over on our sister site, cuda-challenger.com.  I figured I would just copy the link to it since I posted over 50 detailed pics and don't have the time to be reposting everything on here.  Hopefully everyone likes it as I think it is my best work yet.

Is the underside painted undercoating or??

Underside is gray primer with white over spray.  Only thing that is undercoated is the wheel wells like the factory did and the inside of the quarter panels like the factory did.

Thanks for the support everyone.  Glad everyone likes the end result.  I figured since it was a numbers matching block, trans, fender tag, and build sheet, I figured the car should set a higher bar than what my charger has and our el camino.  Next big thing for us is the retro dealership next year at Carlisle and trying to get into the SME judging at Carlisle.

Ok, I just thought the surface looked kinda globby and the seams look sorta smeary....Must just be the pics or something.

It could be a little flash back from the diamond plating on the ramps for the lift.  The gloss red paint on the lift is still in pretty good shape.  As for the undercoating on the underside, the previous owner must have taken that off as it was all off and smooth when we got the car.   The only thing we had to do was to undo the over restoring as the previous owner painted the whole undercarriage body color instead of having the body color get over spray onto the primer like the factory did.

:o Holy smokes!  Fantastic job, and beautiful beautiful car.  I gotta ask you though?  So with that much detail, can a person drive and enjoy it?  Or is it more like a fine painting to be just looked at, or do you jump in and drive and those perfect detail items, paint etc get slowely ruined?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Arthu®

Wow Brian that looks incredible! I was also wondering, do you drive it or is it a display piece?
