Any one know about Xenon Headlights

WHITE AND RED 69

I just installed a set of xenon headlights in my 69, but they only turn on with the highbeams. The set I have is only for the low beams so it looks odd with 2 super bright new bulbs and 2 not so bright old bulbs. Plus I dont want to have the highbeams on all the time. Did I wire something wrong? Or am I better off just unplugging the highbeams?

The way it is wired is there is a relay connected to the battery, that is connected to the balasts, then to the headlights. I never touched any of the highbeam headlight connectors so I'm not sure why it shouldn't work the way it did before with just the low beam headlight switch.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

most Xenon or "HID" kits are not hi / lo...    it sounds like you have yours hooked up and being triggered by the high beam wire - if you want them to come on in the lo position - you need to use the lo beam wire to energize the relays - not the hi beam wire.

Thanks, I'm not to great with electrical, so I probably screwed something up. I plugged the stock low beam connector into the relay, the highbeams are not connected at all to the new lights on the relay, is this wrong? How would I go about hooking it up just to the low beams?

The relays should be typical Bosch style...   they should have 5 terminals on the bottom of them - they are numbered...    hook up as the following

30 = 12V Power (from alt or battery - use an inline fuse)
85 = Trigger wire (Low beam wire (Violet) from original harness)
86 = Ground
87 = Output - should go to your HID igniters

Thanks for the info, I will check all the wires sometime tomorrow to see if I connected them wrong.
