Very cool! The original owner of my Charger had it from 1969-1979. He has a bunch of old pictures of it but he dosen't have a scanner. He's been trying to find one for a while now.

Looks like FY1. My bird was in el paso, tx in the late 70's and is an FY1 car. It has a 440-6 but is a 440-4 car. Don't guess they could be the same car.
What is the guy's name? I have records on my car going back to 1979.

I bought my R/T from Kerrville, TX in 1998.  It had spent 9 years there (89-98), but wasn't from that area originally.

dosent date back to 1974 but heres a pic from the weekend I bought my bird in '86.  the longest any previous owner owned this car was 5 years, prior to me owning it for 23 and counting.
wingless now, but still around.

Tom Ferry owned my bird for 26 years. That's going to be hard to match since I would be almost 80 in 26 years. I'm going to try though. I really want to give the car to either my son or my grandson some day. I didn't buy it to flip, that's for sure.

Hello to ALL, Larry Roper, Tan Top, nascarxx29, FJ5WING,

And Especially William (Bill) Price. I bought this car from Bill Price, back in 1985 (I think)  "I OWN that car NOW"...it is a FY1 Lemon Twist Yellow,
Black Bucket seat car, Automatic with console, 440+6 car.  I drove up from San Antonio, TX to meet with Bill Price and look at the Superbird and
saw the 69 Charger R/T that was either Lite Yellow or Cream with a Tan Top that he said he bought a short while earlier that year.  I bought the
Superbird that day, paid for it a day or so later and drove it to San Antonio.  I recognize that picture from all of the stickers on both the passenger
and drivers side back windows.  When I bought the car from Bill, he had repainted it a different Yellow and it had White Lettering.  He also had the
rallye wheels painted White as well as the Fender Scoops that are painted White.

Bill Price gave me a lot of pictures from a photo album that he had of this car, as well and many many other Wing Car photos that he had taken
while he owned it. I still have them in a album now along with all of the other pictures of mopar cars I have owned.  Bill gave me plenty of extra
Superbird items, like the small Diamond shapes for the Superbird rear window plug. Extra Fender Valance extensions, Fender Scoops, many many
interior parts (plastic), an Automatic Transmission from a GTX, extra Tail Lights and the list goes on and on.  Also many older Daytona-Superbird
Auto Club Newsletters

I tried some time last year or the year before to contact Bill Price in Kerrville, TX but could not locate him and wondered if he was still living?
I had asked him back then why he was selling the Superbird, and he and his wife told me they needed the money because his wife was then
diagnosed with cancer.   If you are still out there Bill I would like to talk with you.

From the looks of the picture it was taken when Bill lived in Houston, TX or in the Houston area.  Some of the pictures I have show this house
and neigborhood in the background.

Thanks,

DuecesWild

We would love to see some current pics of the car. I guess you're still in San Antonio.
Too bad you're not in the Houston area. I'll be down there next week visiting relatives.
I wonder how close the vin is to the one that I just bought seeing as how they are the same color, were only a couple of hundred miles apart there in west Texas in the 70's and may very well have been closer than that at some point.
